Boom! April is in the room!

Shhh! There is a rumour going around the met office that we are due a gorgeous April! Have you got your diary open and booked in for our walks to spoil yourself with?

There is our Good Friday Easter walk – a wee bimble from Newbury to Theale. It is open to Non Nordic walkers too so why not make a family occasion of it. There are also additional options you can factor in such as getting on a train or cadging a lift to or from the various bridges and stations we pass by.

Keep up to date with our news on Facebook – please do like both of our Facebook pages; one for Nordic walking and one for our Canicross dog stuff. That’s where we share our photos, tips and stories to keep you inspired. Do engage and interact with us and share with your friends and family.

NEW Friday Linear Park 1.15pm taster sessions and new 6 week couch to 5km canicross course for beginners.
Friday Linear Park 2.30pm Pawdic walking AND Non dog nordic walkers  (must have freedom passport) and power walking

Dates for the Diary

We have a few fun challenges and events through 2017. Please do save them in your diary and get involved. 

14th April Good Friday Newbury to Theale canal walk – 15 miles of calorie burning fun so you can eat your Easter Eggs guilt free! This is open to partners, friends and family too. There are shorter options.

13th May Prosecco Party – Let’s crank up the giggle power and get your friends out Nordic walking! If you invite a non freedom passport holder friend to this, you just pay £10.

14th May Fundraiser walk – Join us for the Duchess of Kent Forget me Not walk through Englefield estate.

Our 1st birthday is May 14th so we are officially celebrating on special walk –
International Nordic Walking Day at Uffington Horse – Sunday
28th May join us and other Nordic walking groups for this special event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our modern Nordic walking. Walk the Ridgeway and enjoy the iconic Uffington White Horse.

Dragon Boat Racing – Saturday 10th June, be part of our crew and support! Pangbourne Meadows all day (beer tent and Pangbourne festival)

Purbeck Walking Festival – 15th – 17th September Book your place asap. Don’t miss out on this hugely popular event.

Santa Fun Run – Sunday 9th December

Our superstars this month are the purple power Team Sparkle who completed the Reading Half Marathon in a sizzling 3hrs 24. They shaved 40 minutes off the training pace!! Are you ready to start training for the 2018 Reading Half marathon with us? Running NOT required!

Our Reading HM team trained for 16 weeks locally through the winter with our special training plan. They finished injury free and with smiles.
